A few firsts, a vintage camper and a wild party.

Sometimes in life you just click with people, a random encounter with someone in the pub, park or when you meet a couple who you just get on with instantly such was the case with Gill & Phil.

Having done their engagement shoot in the Botanical Gardens in Glasgow I was really looking forward to the wedding as I knew it was going to be epic.

It. did. not. disappoint.

Within 5 minutes of my arrival I had a glass of alcohol in my hand (a typical Bellshill breakfast) and I was made to feel more than welcome by Gill, her mum and her bridesmaids. After a few hours we were on route to Glasgow in a classic VW Camper van where more champagne flowed and the girls got into the party spirit. I've never saw a pritt stick used to glue body parts into a dress before and as mentioned, I've saw a lot of things happen at weddings.

The ceremony went without hiccup and the happy couple had arranged for their couple shoot to be done in the Botanical Gardens. This was the first time I got to experiment with shooting through a prism which creates some unusual and different looks.

Speeches were funny and special mention to the bride for standing up and giving a short speech too.

What can I say about the dancing? Well I've never saw a couple be that keen on doing their first dance that they started during the soundcheck. The dancefloor was mental and everyone was having a great time when I left.

Here's a few of my favourite photos from the day.
