A hot day, some beautiful styling and a sunset to die for...

Alannah & Dave had their wedding in a new venue for me, the cow shed, Crail. Having never been I was excited about visiting and the venue didn't disappoint.

Bridal prep was the usual laughs and jokes with everyone being relaxed. I always try to advise brides to enjoy this part of the day as much as they can as the rest of the day is busy with a lot happening so take advantage whilst you can. It was a quick journey to the venue from bridal prep and I was happy to see a vintage double decker bus dropping the girls off at the venue which isn't a mode of transport I see very often.

The venue itself is beautiful and the styling team at littlewhitecow did a phenomenal job of making it look that much better. As for the ceremony it went without a hitch and then it came to the surprise part of the day, baby Grayson was having his naming ceremony immediately after the marriage.

Direct sun is really difficult to work in with little shade, something we Scottish photographers don't have to deal with too much. Luckily there's some good walls at the venue so I was able to use these as a backdrop for the group photos before I took Alannah & Dave out a wander for their first couple shoot.

When we returned we went straight into the speeches which were equal part funny and emotional, a good combination in my experience and then it was time for some food before the evening part started.

I managed another quick shoot before the cake cutting and I was overjoyed to see such a beautiful sunset. Unfortunately, it lasted for all of 5 minutes but we photographed as much as we could trying to take advantage of such beautiful light.

The dancing was fun, as it always is and seeing so many children enjoying themselves on the dancefloor alongside their parents who were also dancing away made for some great photo opportunities.

We bid our farewells before the decent drive home, shattered after a long day in the sun but more than happy with how the day went.

Thanks for having us along guys and here's some of my favourite photos from the day.
