We truly have some of the best scenery in the world here in Scotland and as a photographer I really should utilise it more which is why when Susan & Gary said they wanted to go to Glencoe for their engagement shoot I was more than happy to oblige.
The drive up in scenic and full of great locations for a photoshoot but we decided just to head straight there with a quick coffee stop on the way to fuel up. Having only ever been once I don't really know the area that well but thankfully Gary & Susan are regulars up there and with some google searching I knew where I wanted to go.
Not only are the views spectacular in every direction, we also lucked out with some beautiful light too so I knew the photos were going to be pretty special and I'll let you be the judge of that below.
Engagement shoots can be awkward (just being honest!) Unless you're used to having some handsome bearded man photograph you on a regular basis it can be quite daunting but most couples relax after 10 minutes or so. Luckily this couple had no issues with being in front of the camera and needed little direction which makes my job much easier and results in more natural photographs.
After having walked a good portion of the day, through mud, up hills and across bridges and all with Susan in a pair of ankle boots too I knew I wanted just one more final shot, on the road with some mountains as the backdrop and once complete I was excited to get home and see just how the photos looked.
Here's a selection of my favourites...
